About Me

A BIT ABOUT TAX GIRL
Ola Sulaimon

I am a Certified Chartered Accountant with many years of experience consulting and advising clients on matters relating to accounting, finance and tax.

I graduated from Babcock University where I bagged an upper second-class degree in Accountancy and Finance.

I relocated to the UK after graduation and, after training, started my business Ronzl Accountants Ltd.

Having advised numerous individuals and business owners, who had made mistakes and lost tax relief out of lack of knowledge, I am constantly geared towards being the solution-provider that people need when they think about tax in the UK.

From recording videos to writing blogs on tax, I am deeply passionate about educating people about the intricacies of tax.

THE PASSION & LOVE FOR TAX

How I fell in love with tax!

Whilst writing my final part of my ACCA professional exams, a lot of my friends that were qualified at the time suggested to me not to pick the advanced tax option as it was a very difficult option to pass.

I followed their advice and entered advanced financial management instead. I found this course very difficult and I failed three times. Out of frustration, I decided to try the advanced tax.

I attended revision classes in Birmingham and the lecturer of the class also had a passion for tax and showed great enthusiasm in the subject. She made the classes fun. I passed my tax exam this time because I could picture what she was teaching.

However, in my experience, clients that I meet tell me they are not aware of the tax issues, but ignorance is not an excuse in law, especially tax.

Consequently, I have spent a lot of my working life in the past three years writing blogs, recording videos, writing articles and my main purpose is to create tax awareness.

The truth is tax changes all the time. However, if you are at least aware of your situation, you can seek professional advice. This would lead to saving a lot of time and money on penalties and claiming tax relief, knowing that you are doing the right thing and having peace of mind.
